Your phone shows exactly what's filling it up. Look first, then delete the biggest things you don't need.
- Go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage. Wait for the list to load.
- Tap Show All on the recommendations and turn on the ones that suit you.
- Tap a big app you rarely use and choose Offload App. That frees the app's space but keeps your documents and data.
- Apple suggests removing content you don't need, such as videos and apps.
- Open Settings → Storage to see what's using space.
- Tap Free up space and pick photos, videos and apps you haven't used recently.
- If your photos are backed up in Google Photos, you can delete the copies on the phone.
- Uninstall apps you don't use. You can download them again later for free.
Menus vary by phone maker. Some steps need Android 14 or later.
Before you delete photos: make sure they are backed up first.
